4 Roadblocks Holding You Back From Repurposing Your Content
Myth #1: You Need Years of Content to Repurpose
Let's clear this up right away – content repurposing isn't just for seasoned creators. Whether you've been sharing content for one day or ten years, you can jump on the repurposing train. There are two ways to do it: you can repurpose content from your archives or dive into fresh content you create in the present. So, no matter where you are in your content journey, you can hop aboard the repurposing magic.
Myth #2: Your Audience Will Get Annoyed
Here's the truth – people's attention spans online are like fireflies. They flicker in and out, and there's no way every single one of your followers will catch every piece of content you put out there. Repurposing allows you to reach different corners of your audience at different times. Plus, repeating your key messages reinforces your expertise in your niche. So, let go of the fear of annoying your audience and embrace the power of repetition.
Myth #3: Repurposing Is Just Copy-Pasting Transcripts
If only it were that simple! Repurposing is an art form that involves strategic thinking. Each platform serves a different purpose, and your content needs to be tailored accordingly. Your blog highlights might be different from what you'd emphasize on Instagram or in an email. Tailoring your content ensures you connect effectively with your audience on each platform.
Myth #4: Video or Audio Content Is a Must
While video and audio content make repurposing a breeze, they're not the only game in town. Don't underestimate the power of copy content. Everything you create – from blog posts to eBooks, Facebook posts to journal entries – can be repurposed into different formats. You can transform text into videos, carousel posts into Pinterest idea pins, and much more. The possibilities are endless!
